With the natural resources of ‘90s nostalgia having been thoroughly mined over the past several years, the first decade of the new millennium has emerged as the prime source for the next wave of re-appreciation.

To that end, Nike have plucked a circa 2003 gem from archival obscurity, the Air Zoom Spiridon Caged. Like 1997’s original Air Zoom Spiridon, the 2003 caged variant was centered around a lightweight, mesh upper, and the dynamic cushioning of Zoom Air. Placing the Zoom Air units in caging structures was a stabilizing measure that also increased energy return, practically inviting the wearer to move faster.

The return of the Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 resurrects a series the technological speedster's original colorways. Here, a palette of a vivid red, metallic silver and white blends the futurism with some classic athletic style, with the visual contrasts highlighting the construction.
